WWYD - got a random email from a mom in DDs class, basically saying, let's plan dinner together with the husbands too. We have never done anything socially with them and there is another mom in the class with the same first name as me. I am sure she meant to send it to her. Don't want to embarrass her or put her in an awkward position. Should I ignore? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

don't ignore! it's embarrassing, but neither of you are kids. just reply: did you mean to send this to ______? Even though you have the same first name, it's unlikely your e-mail addresses are similar. And if she looked you up in a directory, it would have been by last name, not first name. [ Reply | More

yup. these are all adults involved, no? If that mom is not interested in making a new friend she will just ignore the reply and move on. If she is in anyway "normal" she would have dinner with them. [ Reply | More
