Poor DD, 10 months, has been suffering from diarreah and as a result, very bad diaper rash, all weekend. She's been waking up w/dirty diaper and then goes again w/in minutes (she's been up for 1 hr. and I'm about to change her for 3rd time). Rash def. painful and I've been using aquaphor/diaper cream + tylenol to relieve sting. We're traveling weds and i wonder if it's serious enough to take her to ped. or are they just going to tell me to continue doing what i'm doing? anyone btdt? On BRAT diet and drinking more formula than usual (prob. b/c dehydrated), but nothing seems to be helping it so far. Tia. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

That's what the ped is for. Call the office and speak to the nurse. Ask her if you are doing the right thing and let her make the decision whether you should see the dr. Enjoy your trip. [ Reply | More
