Maybe there's a small chance that somebody will know the answer to this. Is there some sort of waiver out there that military people can apply for that keeps them in the states if they have a terminally ill mom/dad? My husband was stationed in Japan and we will be there for 4 years but my mom is terminally ill and I heard there might be something out there that protects us from having to go. From what I understand from BIL, has to be an immediate family member and you need to prove hardship. Nearly impossible right now because of the war. I'm so sorry about your mom. [ Reply | More ]
