Would you consider someone who was 5'4" and took a size 8 to be fat? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Not necessarily. A lot of women would look good at that weight - bone structure and muscle mass make a big difference in how a size 8 looks. [ Reply | More ]

I'm 5'4 and 136 pounds, sometimes a 6, mostly an 8. I don't look even chubby [ Reply | More ]

OP: I'm 5'4" and 131 -- almost never fit into a 6 unless it's vanity sized. [ Reply | More ]

ditto only I'm 142 and more often an 8 but sometimes a 6. In fact, my measurements would make me a size 14 but I fit size 8 in major retailers like Banana, Ann Taylor, Gap (vanity sizing?) [ Reply | More ]

Muscle is considerably heavier than fat and changes all proportion. As a fashion stylist with over 20 yrs in the fashion/beauty industries, I've met some(not all) really thin women and girls whom lack tone and fitness; it's not a pretty picture(in real life). Additionally, sizing is one of the most bizarre aspects in clothing merchandising; it varies so widely from label to label. Saying size 8 is not subject to any uniform standard. [ Reply | More ]

If you look good, feel good and maintain a good energy level, then 5'4" sounds hot. [ Reply | More ]
