6 week old ds is taking medication for reflux but his spitting up is getting worse - more like vomiting than regular spit up and it can reach a foot at a time. could this be pyloric stenosis? anyone know how to tell the difference? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

my DS had an ultrasound to r/o pyloric stenosis at about 2 weeks. seems like they thought vomitting would happen after every single meal. turns out it was just reflux, he used to spray us too. also fwiw one of the meds we tried for reflux made him puke terribly. [ Reply | More

what was he taking that made him puke more? ds is taking zantac and it seems like it has gotten worse since he started taking it. also, how long his refulx last? tia! [ Reply | More

It was prevacid for us - he ended up off it around 3 mos and was still a little refluxy but not nearly as bad, was much better by 6mos. [ Reply | More
