Have a bone to pick with my babysitter, but maybe I'm making too big a deal-what do you think? I have my kids toys very organized by how they play with them-trains and tracks in one bin, cars and roads in another, animals and the farm in another, games and books on the shelves, etc. etc. When I come home after she's been with them, everything is in a pile on the floor all mixed up. She never bothers to ask them to clean up and when she cleans it up she just throws itall in the bins mixed up. She literally just throws puzzle pieces into any bin she sees and me and the kids end up sorting them out over the weekend. I have explained out organization system for toys and that its hard for the kids to play with everything when they can't find what they are looking for. I also encouraged her to encourage them to clean up periodically. That had no effect on her. Should I even bother? Am I making too big a deal? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

That is annoying, especially if pieces of the same game, puzzle are ending up in different bins. I guess you just keep reiterating that toys need to be organized, and also ask her to have kids help, since that's important as well. [ Reply | More ]

I am OCD about that stuff too. I would just be honest and tell her I need the toys in the right bins or it makes me NUTS [ Reply | More ]
