Help! My db slept through the night (just about) until 5mo. Then at 6mo, was waking 2x to feed and falling right back asleep. Now 9mo and is waking constantly! She is really fighting sleep and being very clingy. Is this normal? At this age there's so many things it could be (teething, crawling milestones, separation anxiety etc) I don't know if I should cio or just go to her as it might be a stage--i just don't want to reinforce bad habits. OK ps we also just moved from UK, so there's that time diff too... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

All the above. Separation anxiety often starts around that age, too. Offer the least reassurance that she'll accept. She'll get over it and go back to a good sleep pattern. If you feed her, give her only water. [ Reply | More ]
