When your dc outgrew crib what did you put them in and what happened (did they roam the house at night, wake up all night, etc). What is the best option? TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

my first went into a regular bed at 3, no problems at all. my second went into a toddler bed just shy of 2, after a couple of scary falls from the crib. it was a rough couple of weeks of her getting up constantly, but now she has settled down andis fine [ Reply | More

We moved ds to a toddler bed at 17mo and put the crib mattress onto the floor next to the bed (he did fall onto it twice). We put a gate on the door of his room. It took a few weeks for him to regularly sleep in the bed rather than in his chair but he got used to it eventually. [ Reply | More

Had a toddler bed. We found that a set routine at night was key: bath, snack, stories, song. We switched to the bed when potty training was well underway. Some mornings ds still "calls" to be gotten out of bed-so cute:) [ Reply | More
