looking for special/fun ideas for dd's 5th birthday. she has school that day but we'd like to take her to do something fun in the afternoon. would going to the top of the empire state building for the first time sound fun for a 5 yr old, or bad idea b/c of crowds (wed. btw). thought also of carriage ride in central park. other ideas? also for restaurant that she might like...isn't there some place with a mermaid tank (or is that totally cheesy?)? they have ribbons and we tie them all over her room...stuffed animals are holding them, on her bed, etc. It's a tradition in our house, but tricky on when bdays are on mondays and finding balloons on Sun night! [ Reply | More
