Question: In a good marriage for 10 years. Hubby has over 30K in debt which I knew was growing over these years. I had my own at about 20K. Almost paid mine off. For a long time we were going 1/2 and 1/2. Now we got two small kids and want to be more responsible about money. I make more money so I am paying all bills including my left over debt and hubby uses his whole salary to pay down this debt. I think in a marriage this is reasonable arrangement. Some people don't think so. Your thoughts? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

op:that is how I see it too. God forbid there is a divorce I am just as responsible for that money. I enjoyed the dinners out, the nice vacations. He never hid it.But it is time for both to buckle down. My sister thinks it is not fair to me, since I still have about 3K that I can't bring down cuase I'm paying everything else. We have not even started savings mode yet. [ Reply | More ]
