dh is driving me crazy. he's been out of work for 5 months, and as far as I can tell, does nothing during the day. and I can't address it because any discussion ends up in an argument. I work full-time and am still doing all the cooking and cleaning! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I know it isnt helpful but that is just unacceptable! My dh was out of work for 6mo. It was so hard for him psychologically. But he really tried to make himself useful and I think it helped his psyche alot. He set up spreadsheets of contacts and when he should make calls etc. ANd also cooked and did tons of household errands (he's not such a great cleaner but did try more then usual). [ Reply | More

He is obviously stressed out. Maybe try a different tack of asking him to do one or two things to help out-very specific-could you please cook dinner on Monday or please take DC to dr. on Fri. [ Reply | More
