my son is in a CTT class - for 1st grade - i was told it would be suggested that he move to a gen ed class for 2nd grade - that he's ready for it ... I've been stressing it and our IEP meeting is on monday ... I saw his teacher today and she says - i think he should move into the eagle - which is the gifted class in our school; I think he's probably smart enough for it but don't know if we want the added pressure; Now I'm really confused as to where to put him; He gets PT, OT & Speech 2x week - could really use a social skills class and has been bullied because he comes off a bit immature for his age; any thoughts or feedback? I'm trying to get more details from his teacher about why she thinks he belongs in the Eagle class but so far - all I have is a one line email asking me to consider it. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Do you have anyone that is overseeing his case, like a dev ped or a neuropsych that you could talk to about this? [ Reply | More ]
