would you choose a different sitter if one of the other children at the sitter's behaviour is out of control? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it kind of depends. my older dc was in a daycare with a dc who was out of control-hitting, biting, aggressive, to an extreme extent (problems were daily, not once in a blue moon). there were problems in the dc's home, the dc was acting out. the teachers and the daycare worked with him and the family to minimize the behaviour and worked with other children on tolerating the different ways people act, how to use words when feeling anger, etc. it worked out for everyone. tell the sitter what you have in mind, maybe the sitter will say to the other family that it is not working out for her. [ Reply | More ]
