Yes, I had my twins at 32.5 weeks after developing preeclampsia. They were in the NICU for 11 and 14 days but then came home happy and healthy. They're now almost 1 and doing very well, have reached nearly all milestones at their birth age (not due date). Sam is still crawling or needs a hand but Bea is walking all over the place, and both have good language and motor skills. [ Reply | More ]

Thanks for responding! How fast did it come on? What were your numbers like at first? How long until they said it was time to take the babies? [ Reply | More ]

Oh, and how much did they weigh? Was their birth weight anywhere close to your last ultrasound estimate?? [ Reply | More ]

You're at the point where an induction shouldn't be too much of a problem, especially with twins. I had very high BP (152/95, I'm normally 100/65). I was given betamethasone before they did a c/s because they felt induction wouldn't work. Basically they only waited a few hours after my BP was so high to do anything. [ Reply | More ]

They have me at home with a bp monitor. I could have stayed in the hospital, but my #'s at home flucuate so much (highest ever 150/103, only once...usually 130+/high 80's, 90's) that I felt that I could be there for weeks. So nervewracking. It has been such a long road, I just want them to be healthy. We have been to L&D before where they have sent me home with 142/84?? I have never had protin in my urine, though. I delivered singleton at 36 weeks -- water broke -- hang in there, even if you deliver now, they should be fine. [ Reply | More ]

I delivered my ds at just uner 34 weeks (water broke). He's almost 4 and doing great. He does get some services (PT, OT, ST) but no one knows if it's related to prematurity and I think he'll be done this year. He's in mainstream school and excels in many areas despite some delays. At this stage, everything should be just fine! GL! [ Reply | More ]
