having a d&c for miscarriage this afternoon. please prepare me- pain? aftermath of any kind? i just want this to be over, and i'm afraid in some way it's about to get worse... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You'll be bleeding for a while. May feel a little crampy, but you can take Advil, etc. I found the hardest part of having a m/c was what it did to my head. Give yourself time to get over it. Good luck should you ttc again. [ Reply | More

yeah, the head part has already got me, so good to know nothing too bad physical, but i also fear head is about to get worse. but i'm trying to take it in stride as best i can- i know it happens to a lot of people [ Reply | More

I kept reminding myself that it was better that I miscarried early, rather than have to deal with heartbreaking decisions later or worse. I was grateful that my body/nature was set up to stop the pregnancy if there were issues at hand. It is very frequent, and you can go on to have a healthy pregnancy when you're ready to try again.
