We really like the Lucy Moses School (affiliated with the Kaufman Center on 67th/Bdway). My dd started when she was 4yo. They will evaluate your child to see if she is ready. [ Reply | More

I started playing when I was 8, a lot of my peers started earlier with suzuki methods -- 4 or 5. Thing was, they sort of learned to play before they learned to read music and I think it threw them off. Although technically, they were way ahead of me. I plan on starting dd at 5 I think.
