Help! Anybody out there have an honest, insider veiw of NEST. Seemed like a great school for our middle school dc. (not perfect, but a great school). Can anyone make me feel better about my decision? OR help me change it fast! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i almost taught there and backed out at the last minute. two of my friends did go through with it and taught there - one in middle school and one in high school. the one in middle school LOVES it and just raves about how great their middle school is.. but she admits that the HS has a lot of problems. my friend who taught at the HS left midway thru the year bc she said it was so bad. I think the principal has a lot of issues and is not the best at what she does, for what its worth, but it seems that the middle school is doing really well. [ Reply | More

I would add, a lot of the kids I know there (I'm a lower school parent) go to other schools for HS (Stuy, LaG, Bronx, etc.) [ Reply | More
