Did anyone see Supernanny last night? I was so disturbed that I really thought that someone should call DSS on those parents with respect to how they were treating their teenagers. For those who didn't watch, the parents had 2 teenage daughters, ages 14 and 17. The two of them stayed home full time during the week and watched their 3 brothers age 3 or so and under, and did all the household work and chores (even after parents got home, inc. putting boys to bed). Like little Cinderellas. The only schooling they got was online, which they tried to do in between being full time SAHMs to the 3 boys. They were both failing. I was so upset for those girls. One of them fainted on the show! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I did see that and was surprised those girls hadnt run away already. Those parents should have been ashamed. [ Reply | More ]

I wanted to put them both in work camp for years on end. That's what they were doing to their daughters. They were not even educating them. They were live-in slaves! [ Reply | More ]

I agree. How could they live with themselves knowing the life they were giving those girls. [ Reply | More ]

She put them on a schedule that allowed the girls to study 4 hours a day (NOT ENOUGH!) while the parents paid for a sitter during that time. And transferred some chores to the parents (like putting the boys to bed). You could tell this time that she hated the parents. And the daughters said on camera the parents had told them off camera that the schedule and chores would go back when the cameras were gone. The parents were lazy, mean a-holes. [ Reply | More ]

^^I might add that these poor girls were THRILLED with the supernany scheduled. How abused do you have to be to be thankful for 4 hours of study/schooling a day? [ Reply | More ]

I have never seen a Supernanny, save that one, that made me so angry and made me want to cry. [ Reply | More ]

I know. Maybe she wanted to but the producers were afraid of offending homeschool people? [ Reply | More ]

Well, now that they've been on national TV (and that was a repeat), I'm sure the proper authorities are aware.... [ Reply | More ]
