thinking of taking dd to a broadway show for her 5th birthday. would be the first one ever (for both of us!), and i'm trying to decide between Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins. any suggestions? also, the show starts at 8pm, but her bedtime is usually around that time. good idea or bad? terrible idea, and really unfair to those in the audience who don't bring overtired kids. go to a matinee if you must. (why doesn't disney create a 45-minute broadway show for little kids? it would make a mint.) [ Reply | More ]

^^^don't mean to be rude, but I've been to a broadway show (b and the b) and sat next to a five year old who squirmed and talked the whole time, and their 2yo kid brother who THREW UP during the show. And yes, they stayed. [ Reply | More ]

Took my 4 yo to Little Mermaid and she loved it. However, we did a matinee, don't think night is such a good idea. [ Reply | More ]

but it isn't exactly the same as the movie and there is a "scary" part just before intermission when the toys come alive and go on attack. [ Reply | More ]
