I feel like a jerk. My 2 dds (3yo and almost 5yo) have been fighting like cats and dogs lately and I am not able to figure anyway for them to stop. They have not figured out how to resolve this on their own and it seems when I try to help them, one or both still feels upset most times. so i told my older one today, that sisters have to care and love each other b/c when they are adults like mommy and mommy is not around, they will always have each other. so about 30 min later, my oldest starts crying and says that she will be so very sad if i ever go away. i feel so bad. i should have phrased it differently. do you think she will feel disturbed by what i said? She will be fine, I'm in the same situation 2 dd's 3 and 6, they are the best of friends or the worst enemies I just try and get them to respect each other and if both are wrong (i.e. I slapped her because she pinched me) I don't try to fetter it out the both get a time out [ Reply | More
