Test scores are good. I know some NYU kids who did their student teaching there and reported good things. [ Reply | More ]

I hate to ask annoying questions (thanks for the inside schools tip) but how do I find out what schools are zoned for that area. Inside schools has a zone map but doesn't show what other schools are in that zone. How do I find out? [ Reply | More ]

Each apartment has one zoned school (outside of a few areas). That is your school. [ Reply | More ]

At insideschools, select elementary, then Manhattan, then District 3. But what are you looking for? Other schools around 75 include 145 to the north, 163 to the east, and 84 to the south [ Reply | More ]

^^^And the poster above is correct. Only one school per zone or catchment. Or did you mean district (this is D3)? [ Reply | More ]

Sounds like you are new to the NYC schools. IMHO there are only a few good zoned geneds in D3 that being 87,199 and 9 (in that order) some schools also house G&T programs(which you just have to live in the district to apply for), the most highly sought after G&T in D3 are PS9, PS166 and 163. Anderson is in D3 but is a citywide G&T. If you are moving so dc has a good gened option I would tour the schools before making any decisions. [ Reply | More ]
