New moms: anyone else unhappy, miss their old life, thought they'd be so happy being a mom cause you wanted a baby so badly?? I am 10 weeks in to this and just not happy, I miss my relationship with my husband too [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you're in the "maintenance" phase, I think... I was dazed and really shocked. it sounds stupid, but i thought it would be so easy... it gets better. maybe it's the reality setting in now that the immediate excitement has worn off and the guests aren't coming and the gifts have slowed and the day-to-day job (which it is) is sinking in... try to be "light in yuor mind" someone said to me and it made sense... you probably miss a lot of those relationships and everyday chatter and the validation of a job done... i totally know where you are in this and there are tons of smart women in the same place with you too... np I don't miss my old life. I occasionally miss the freedom but once I got through those first 6 months or so and got adjusted to my new life, I didn't miss it much at all [ Reply | More

that's why i didn't want to have a dc, and i went along with it, and now i have one and not into it at all. i almost resent my dh for 'making me do it' een though it was my decision to do it to make him happy. And now i don't even have him anymore [ Reply | More
