bwahaha. so many dropped private spots last year that psd told us they are really on the lookout for anyone they suspect may want public. it will happen again this year, maybe even more so. you people who wanted private so much and didn't get it may find it hard to understand how someone could drop such a scarce and coveted thing as a private spot, but honestly once you actually get one, you look long and hard at whether you actually want it [ Reply | More

the schools should have let you know if they were very interested in your dc for one of those spots by now. when we applied, many schools told us to call back after G&T results were out. knew of others who were not told this. [ Reply | More

problem is we only applied to 5 schools and are on 2 WL. so is possible to apply on the DL now if spaces open up? surely they allow this for people just moving to nyc? [ Reply | More

we gave up Dalton for ps9 G&T if that counts as TT. know others who gave up EC, Rodeph Shalom, Cathedral, Bank Street, and brearley for various G&Ts. it does happen. [ Reply | More
