My 2.8 yr old ds throws everything around the house...I say 'no' a lot to him because sometimes the object almost hits the baby, or breaks, or whatever...My mom thinks i should not say no to him. I know he wants attention, but what should i do, not say no? ignore? Obviously what i'm doing is not working...tia. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Mine does this - he gets one or two warnings, then time out and/or I take the toy away. No throwing in the house is the rule. Why does your mom say not to say no? [ Reply | More ]

Well, apparently she did not say no that much to me (i am a first born girl, and also did not throw things according to her, so i don't think she can really understand..) My mom hears me say no to ds when i'm on the phone w/ her but she is really clueless ab out what is going on. [ Reply | More ]

A 2.8 yo should be able to learn to not throw things. I'd be giving t/o or taking things away. [ Reply | More ]
