BTDT moms: My 4 YO still has a hard time with bringing toys out of house because he's anxious other kids will take them, etc. He goes to preschool, we talk about this all the time at home, we work on sharing a lot...yet here we are. Any tips, etc? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

op: On the occassion that we go to park or pool, etc. I guess just don't like that non-sharing vibe. By 4 I feel he should be over this. I guess not. (also I have an uncle who was always like this and is really selfish as an aduly and I'm thinking this will be my kid...projecting - I know. But can't help it) [ Reply | More ]

i don't think it's a big deal if he doesn't want to bring toys. but if you want to encourage it, you should buy some new toys and designate them as "park" toys and they are only for takign to the park. [ Reply | More ]

lol. I'm the opposite. my kids always want to take stuff to daycare. I just warn them not to get upset if it gets lost or broken. [ Reply | More ]
