Thinking of taking almost 5 year old DS to Broadway show for first time (he's got a great attention span, expressed interest in either Lion King or Little Mermaid). Anyone seen/taken kids to both? Which would be better for him, assuming I can get tix? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you'll be fine with either. our 5 year old dc has been to six full-length ballets (the first at 3 yrs), and was mesmerized/fully attentive each time. [ Reply | More ]

I was more wondering if one is just a better show than the other or if there are any moments in either that could be scary for a 5 year old... anyone seen them? [ Reply | More ]

Look ds to Lion King for his 5th birthday. He was a little scared during a couple of scenes, but really loved it and sat through it with no problems. Became really into all things Lion King afterwards. Definitely recommend it. [ Reply | More ]

Haven't seen Little Mermaid, but Lion King is great for kids. Our then 5yo nephew loved it. [ Reply | More ]
