I know this is totally immature but I hate it that db reacts so much to my nanny and not to me - there are also a few other things that bug me - like she never hands db to me when I walk in the door and she always says to her "enjoy your special time with mommu" drives me nuts! Let her go or adjust to having a nanny. I went through this and decided that since I loved to work that I would embrace it. we've had the same nanny for 23 years now and my nanny calls my ds in college and meets my oldest dc for lunch. [ Reply | More

well unless you want a new nanny every few months, you have to learn to negotiate. I have been in both roles, WOHM & SAHM and SAHM is better for dcs. My older two were with my Nanny all day while I worked and I put up with the same power struggle. Yo can't address the cosmetics and think this impacts the reality of your situation. It all worked out fine for us as it will for you. That does not make it any easier though. [ Reply | More

how did you address the power struggle - or in the end was it just to much and you decided to stay at home? I think that is also part of the issue I wish I could just stay home - HATE working and am resentful that I have to pay this woman to care for my child [ Reply | More
