anyone btdt with a nanny share and can give advice? am considering a share with another family, with nanny's primary duty to care for 1 yo (theirs) & infant (mine) at the other family's house, but she would also pick up our 3 year olds from preschool (we have one each, both are in the same class) 5 days a week and watch them for an hour or two at the end of each day. primary concern at this point is insurance/liability; any one know how that works if one or more of the children involved (mine) do not live in the home where they are cared for? this would be in NJ, in case that means anything . . . op: the woman we are looking to share with (the nanny's current employer) had heard that at some point if you have a caregiver in your house and depending on the number of children, at some number you automatically become an official "daycare center" and subject to the same insurance/legal considerations as an employer and especially if god forbid anything happened in your house to either the employee or the kids.
