Gross question: 14mo ds has a small amount of dried yellow fluid in his belly button. It's very deep inside (since most babies' belly buttons are pretty "inny" at this stage), and we clean it every time we bathe him. A washcloth and/or alcohol doesn't seem to get rid of it. I was about to use tweezers to remove it, but began to pull and noticed it wasn't giving. I thought it best to leave for now and ask my ped about it. Anyone else experience something similar? I seem to remember something like this with ds and it came away on it's own eventually. It was nothing to worry about. [ Reply | More ]
